Texandance™ is the first film festival, to select films, based on filmmaker’s submitted movie trailers. 

While the majority of programming will be trailers (well... they are only 2 1/2 min. long) we will feature some alot of great docs, features, shorts, and music videos as well.

Genres:

Drama, Romantic Comedy, Dark Comedy, Documentary, Mockumentary, Horror,

Sci-Fi, Western, or anything else you can come up with*

The First Step:

Send us your trailer (or trailer and full feature).

 

If our jury believes your trailer has good production values, and keeps our attention for the time allowed, THEN it will more than likely be an official selection of the Texandance International film festival. 

The Good News:

If your trailer is selected it will be shown at the festival and you will be allowed to use the “Texandance Official Film Selection” in the marketing of your project.

The Next Step:

If we LOVE your trailer... then we will watch your film.  Your trailer is how you get our attention. 

The Fact is... we won’t lie to you...WE WILL NOT sit through your feature or documentary UNTIL YOUR TRAILER HAS IMPRESSED US!

Unlike some festivals that read your supplied synopsis to help decide whether they should watch your film, we will watch EVERY MOVIE TRAILER we receive.

Your a filmmaker, not an English Major (well at least most of us ain’t) so impress us with your filmmaking abilities, not your word structure and spelling.

NOTE:

Your trailer may be selected and your full length project may not be

Your trailer and And your full length project may both be!

1. If your trailer compelled us to watch your narrative feature or documentary film, then your movie could move to the next level, and be chosen as a featured selection, which will be shown at the festival in addition to your trailer.  Either way, if either your trailer or your full legnth project is selected, you will still recieve an “Ofiicial Selection of The Texandance Film Festival.”
